CF Toolbar and User Group Info

***Next Meeting: Since we've been doing a lot of advanced coding, we're going to turn it back a notch. This will take place during the first week of June. I expect to hear from New Horizons today or tomorrow about using their facility.

***ColdFusion Community Toolbar for IE or FF. What is it? Another toolbar to make your browser real estate even more valuable!

If you have to run just two toolbars, I'd say it should be this one and the web developers toolbar.

Get it here from house of fusion.

***Thanks to Nic Tunney for making a huge sacrifice and coming up to see us last week. He gave a great presentation and convinced me personally to forget about using an ORM. AboutWeb managed to lend us a second speaker, Chris Turner.

Unfortunately, no microphone was available on either speaker's laptop, so we could not record it. Fortunately, we were able to get all the off the record stuff unfiltered.

Scorpio Tour - Philadelphia / New Jersey / Washinton, DC

I thought I would put this out there in case you haven't seen it.

Ben Forta will be presenting in New Jersey (2.5 hours from Harrisburg) and Washington, D.C (2.15 hours from Harrisburg). This means that you can go see him twice! See: http://www.forta.com/

Adobe will be doing a launch event in Philadephia at the Philadelphia User's Group.

Alternative Meeting Location and Sponsors

1) I've sent an email out to somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody at New Horizons in Mechanicsburg. There is the possibility that New Horizons will provide meeting space. If this happens, I know a few Gettysburg and Carlisle residents will be very happy.

2) I'm trying to generate a list of organizations that use ColdFusion in the Central Pennsylvania area. I'd like to contact the organizations and ask for sponsorship to pay for food at the meetings. In exchange, we will provide education for their programmers, a pool of educated Coldfusion programmers for hire, and put their logo on the website. Please help!
